This is my third and final part of what happens when you hire a make up artist and I hope you have found the posts helpful.
A few final things to point out in the run up to the wedding.
I know this is a hard thing to do, but try and sleep as much as you can, it’s not called beauty sleep for nothing! You will be excited and maybe a little bit anxious but everything WILL be perfect – so chill out as much as you can the night before, you will feel so much better on the wedding morning.
Water will hydrate the skin and if you can increase your intake in the run up to the big day, it will enhance your make up and you will notice a difference, I promise!
We all love a schedule
Before the wedding, your artist should provide you with a timeline of the morning, so everyone knows their arrival time and when they will be required in the hot seat. This allows everyone time to get showered, eat breakfast (so important) and when they are able to get dressed. I personally like to provide the bride with at least an hour of time, before she is due to leave for the ceremony to get dressed, use the bathroom, put on her jewellery and perfume, it’s surprising at how much time this can take, also this should give you time with your photographer before you leave, should you be having any pictures taken, plus there may even be time to have a glass of fizz!
Expect the unexpected
I often find myself on the wedding day helping the bride pop her veil in, there are even times when I assist the bride getting into her gown or pinning mum’s button hole…this is all part of my service. Unless I am told otherwise, I always stay until you are ready to leave, thus ensuring I’m around if you need any last minute touch ups. Maybe double check with your artist what they plan to do, as this is not always the case they will be around until you leave.
enjoy every part of the wedding day activities and the run up to the big day.
Take care and see you soon
