Story Frames and the Weekly Round-Up

Welcome to the second edition of Story Frames – our new feature where we look for pictures that tell the story of a wedding in just one frame. We love a good story so if you have a picture you’d like to be considered for next week’s post then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!

This week we thought we’d share this frame from the beautiful recent countryside wedding of Steph and Dave in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire

As Minty, the Bride’s beloved horse (and a key character in both the wedding and the original proposal) looks on, the happy couple return from the church and prepare to enter their beautifully decorated marquee for the first time as man and wife. The charming horse drawn carriage was another sign of the couple’s love for their animals and not quite visible is the stunning bouquet carried by the talented florist Bride who created all of the floral decoration herself. The ominous storm clouds above eventually unleashed a torrential rainstorm but at this wedding no-one’s spirits could be dampened! The Weekly Round-up

If you’ve been offline at all this week then fear not, here’s the place to catch up on everything that’s been going on at Bride Vs Groom HQ! On Monday Matt awoke from a troubled sleep to bring you news of his wedding nightmares! Fortunately whatever happens it can’t be as bad as the wedding of Princess Maria Del Pozzo della Cisterno… find out more in Matt’s Monday Musings!

In Tuesday’s Bridal Boutique Dom revealed a little nightmare of her own! The girl that loves heels but has no idea how to walk in them is scared stiff of tumbling down the aisle so set forth to find out how to gain that little bit of elegance to guide you through the wedding day…

Wednesday was a day of “Chateau’d Dreams!” We brought you another entry from our own wedding diary as we began to look further afield for our wedding venue and investigated the Destination Wedding options, though as ever things never quite seem to go to plan for us…

On Thursday our resident Hair and Makeup expert, the lovely Helen Guy shared a more personal post as she took you into the daily life of a professional Makeup artist. After hearing about her week we felt pretty knackered ourselves but Helen still found time to tell you all about her product of the fortnight as well!

This Week’s Friday Fight-Out centred on the Prenup vs Even-split debate. Prenuptial agreements are growing in popularity and used as a means of financially protecting both parties in a marriage but are they really necessary? We presented the arguments for and against but only you can decide the winner of the debate.

Finally Saturday‘s Weekly Wedding Inspiration came in aid of all those Grooms and Best Men struggling to put their own stamp on their wedding speech. We hope a little bit of musical inspiration and some hilarious videos helped to put you back on track!

And that was the week that was on Bride Vs Groom, we hope you enjoyed it! Now that you’ve finished catching up it’s time to put the wedding planning to one side for a few hours, get out in the sun and fire up the barbecue!! Or at least that’s what we’ll be doing…

Go on, you deserve it!
