My initial reaction to the idea of having balloons at our wedding was, to be honest, not a good one. I thought balloons would be outdated, cheesy and frankly a tad embarrassing. Balloons were for 5 year olds’ birthday parties and grandparents celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary… not for my wedding!
I could not have been more wrong.
The more I researched balloons the more I loved them! They add colour to the room, they can be funky and cool and they make a fabulous prop for the wedding photography. Also it’s a scientifically proven fact that it’s impossible to feel unhappy whilst holding a balloon! Ok the experiment in question was widely discredited and the scientist was asked to leave the university but still! Anyway the result of my new found addiction is that I have found loads of beautiful photographs to inspire and bewilder you. I was loving balloons so much that I was inspired to watch Disney-Pixar’s Up last night, a beautiful, moving masterpiece and I swear if you don’t weep in the first 30 minutes swear your heart is made of stone …. Or maybe that’s just me.
In fact, so engrossed was I that my feet were literally on fire and I wasn’t even aware! But that’s another story.

These blue, orange, yellow and white balloons tie in the colours of the day perfectly and make a quirky and different decoration.
Releasing balloons into the air after the wedding ceremony is a cute and quirky way to celebrate your love.
You could use it as an alternative to the confetti or as an extra little surprise!

CUTE overload! These pastel balloons are simply stunning and would cheer up any venue.
The little name tags hanging from each one is inspired and the matching candles all tie in perfectly.

This wedding caught my eye a while ago before I had even seen Up and it stole my heart straight away.
It was completely inspired by the couples favourite Disney-Pixar classic and they recreated it beautifully.
