I remain in deep cover, my mission: to uncover the top level members of the possible terrorist network who call themselves “Fiancees”. The further I investigate, the deeper the infiltration seems to be. I have confirmed that their underground network stretches far beyond our initial estimates. They are well organised on a global scale and I fear the infiltration goes to the very heart of society and may even have the support of members of the vatican and other global church leaders.
Although often contradictory in her nature I believe I have begun to gain the trust of my captor. She speaks excitedly about the group leader known only as “The Wedding” yet seems equally to fear his or her arrival. Her desperation to fill their meeting place with “prettiness” makes me suspect that the network may have its origins in some form of cult. She speaks often of “the ceremony” – presumably some form of ritual, apparently culminating in the tying of “the knot” – a codename I am yet to fully descramble but I fear it is closely connected to me. Recently she has been considering in some detail the clothing in which I should be dressed for the ceremony and it has become clear that this is not a mutually considered decision between the guard and myself. I fear that I may be being dressed for some sort of sacrifice.
My intention is not to break my cover. My guard informs me that I am to be allowed one friend to be by my side during the ceremony. I request agent Bestman join me undercover. My intel suggests that Bestman will be given the opportunity to address the group. I believe my sacrifice may be inevitable, but if he can succeed in apportioning all blame for past events to me he may be able to gain their trust and establish his own cover. I advise the rest of Groomsmen squadron be kept on standby: male ushers seem to be acceptable for “The Ceremony” and they may be able to use this as cover.
For the good of all man-kind operation wedlock must not fail.
